    Curmudgeon by Founders
Old ale brewed with molasses and oak aged.

This is good stuff. Quite strong at 9.8%, but quite smooth, with good woody and sweet tones.

Black Cherry Hard Cider by McKenzie's

Quite contrary to the name, this is made of mostly apple cider. Tastes rather cherry though. Mine had chunks floating in it which appeared to be bits of cherry, but I'm waiting to hear back from the company on twitter.

Worth trying, but I probably won't buy it again.

Ace: Perry Hard Cider by California Cider Company

I've always been a huge fan of the Ace Pineapple, but this is the first time I've seen a different flavor.

And it doesn't disappoint! Not quite as good as the pineapple, but gets the job done. Tastes and smells quite clearly like the Jelly Belly pear flavor.

went out for some sort of fancy dinner last night, got a cocktail made with some Jefferson's reserve small batch whiskey, angostura bitters, muddled cherry, and tobacco smoke. they muddled the cherries in the bottom of the glass and then turned it upside down to trap some smoke while the whiskey and bitters were mixed over ice and then decanted into the glass. smooth, a hint of bittersweet flavor from the cherry and the smell and taste from the smoke definitely added to it. pretty well worth it even for $12

I really like the taste, but the hard root beers do weird things to my stomach.

I just had a proper coffee brew by my dad's coffee machine and I don't think that was a good idea since I get more of the effects of the raw coffee rather than the supermarket's coffee. I don't think I'm going to sleep for a while aha

It comes in cans now????? I haven't seen them yet........
But yes, I love this hard root beer! I want to try it as a float with vanilla ice cream.
Have you tried their ginger ale? Very good also.

Root beer was such a good idea, I bought a six pack this morning after work, and had it as soon as I got home.
So what if it was before noon, I'm a graveyard shift worker, so it doesn't count. hehehehe

What a great way to wind down after a hard night at work.

    1/2 tsp. brown sugar
    2 dashes angostura bitters
1 cherry, muddled with sugar and bitters, left to macerate (lol, you know what that word sounds like)
a healthy shot of dickle #12
    serve over ice

my imitation of an old fashioned. that Dickle #12 is some good stuff

I saw a new beer offering at work tonight, called 'Kilt Lifter'. Has anyone tried it?
I find my self intensely curious......or maybe it's because I always wanted to lift a kilt......

My go to drink/shot is something I call "Honey Fire". Simple, really: 1oz each of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey and Fire poured into a 2oz shot glass.
