Recipes, what you're having for dinner, the delicious icecream you discovered, anything!

Today I'm having baked potatoes, corn, and a veggie burger made of whitecaps (with honey, walnuts, goats' cheese, thyme in it). I'm just going to throw it all in a big pan so the flavours get all over each other like a culinary orgie, and maybe some tabasco to make it a little spicy.

I am thinking of having spaghetti and meatballs tonight with wheat spaghetti tonight.
I'm not sure what I want to do for lunch though.

I'm definitely not the cooking type, but I recently came up with my new favorite dish. I guess you could call it a potato/vegetable omelet. Pan fry some sliced potatoes and random vegetables (I like green peppers, cucumber, onions, carrots). Then add in a few scrambled eggs mixed with a bit of water and salt/pepper. Cook for a few minutes and turn over. Then cook for a few more minutes, and serve with any combination of cheese, ketchup, hot sauce.

    Cheap, quick, and easy.

I've just recently started enjoying cooking. So far pretty much all I can do is pan-fry chicken and make salads. Anyone got suggestions for a simple healthy dish that can help me learn my way around the kitchen?

I'm totally lazy in the kitchen. But I'm also alone, so I have to mind portions, and I don't have a big fridge or cooling block.

So I usually get stuff in cans, like veggies and fish. Or vegetarian alternatives, since they last longer. I cook everything in one big pan, if I can.

But my favourite dish is shrimp, noodles, a Chinese veggie mix and this packet of shrimp stuff that you put in the cooking water and the flavour gets in the noodles. Looooots of lemongrass and also some general fish spices, absolutely delicious. And easy to make, too. As long as its easy and prepackaged, you can make a lot of stuff taste good.

Don't now what I'm having tonight. Eating isn't an event for me, more like a means to stave off death and that's it.

    Anyone have any low-carb, low-sugar, low-starch recipe suggestions for a Steak-n-Potatoes Gal?

    Did you say spaghetti?
Are you open to a bit of inspiration?
This spaghetti recipe is wonderful! Stuffed tomatoes are soooo good. I bet meatballs with the recipe would also be great. I typically make mine vegetarian.

hmm i shall have to put up a few recipies ....
Pork Loins In A Creamy Peppercorn sauce
Serving suggestions - this goes really well on a bowl of rice :)
    Ingrediants :
    • 2 pork chops
    • clove of garlic
    • 125 cider
    • 3 tablespoons of whole grain mustard
    • 75ml double cream
    How to Cook:
    1. Fry pork chops for 5 mins a side
    2. then add your mustard and cider and simmer for about 10 mins
    3. then add the cream stir through - check your chops are done -
    4. serve

Prawns Pil Pil - (Prawns in Garlic and Oil)
This one is more from my own memory and rough guidelines obvisly judge if your food is cooked wouldnt want to give anyone food poisening
Serving suggestions : Put prawns in a dish with oil e.c.t and enjoy with crusty bread
    Ingrediants:
    • prawns - fresh are better (still with tails are good)
    • garlic - a few cloves (finly diced)
    • olive oil
    • chilli - 1 or more depending on your taste (again finly diced)
    • crusty bread baguette
    Cooking Instructions :
    1. put your prawns in a frying pan and add a resonably large ammount of olive oil.
    2. once prawns have cooked add your garlic and chilli on a meduim to low heat so not to burn it aswell as adding a pinch of salt to bring out the garlic flavor. should only take a minuite or two to cook garlic and chilli
    3. put all the prawns into a bowl along with the chilli, garlic, oil
    4. slice bread - no need to butter as it will get moise from the oil
    5. enjoy prawn garlic and chilli on bread

Ill add more as i remember them and any that i come across or people may want.

id reccomend getting a good wholegrain mustard though as cheaper ones can make it a bit bitter due to the viniger in the mustard

    I'm feeling exceptionally lazy today….

I strained a can of chickpeas, put some sherry vinegar on them, put them back in the can and ate them.
