I made myself meatballs + brown rice + veggies for lunch. I was making those myself for the first time, as usually my mum just does bigger batch for entire family (and does them a little differently), but DAYUM they turned out so tasty! Way better than I even expected :D
    20150410_162109.jpg
Here's a recipe for ~7 similiarily sized meatballs (this recipe is suited to my preference, you can always modify it to your liking ^^ And I assume you can prep rice and veggies without a recipe lol)
-0.5kg of grounded meat (I used pork, from leg part)
-some grounded paprika (whatever amount you find tasty)
-some grounded cumin (a small pinch should be okay, because it gives really strong aroma and taste from even a bit of it)
    -some oregano (as above)
    -one egg
    -some crumbs
    -salt

Basically separate crumbs into two portions, small one for later and bigger one to add to the meat. Throw everything in one pot, then mix until the meat mass reaches similiar consistency to a yeast dough. Then make flat-shaped portions (with wet hands, it really helps because meat doesn't stick to your hands then), and roll them in that smaller portion of crumbs until they're covered well. Fry to a brown color on both sides, serve with whatever you like, for example potatos. As seen on picture I served it with veggies and rice but that's more because I love rice + veggies combo :p

I've combined pepperjack cheese, kalamata olives, white bread, and desperation to make a rather delicious sandwich.

Aspic is a neat thing to cook up. Essentially boiled and jellied stock, mine was concentrated from 2 cups to 4 ounces, with a mix of bonito (fish) stock, another bottle of stock called Memmi, and a little soy sauce for color and a flavor kick. I simmered dried red peppers in it for a good 15-25 minutes until the broth had reduced down to that small amount, and the flavor was wonderful; spicy, but not blazingly hot. I threw in one packet of unflavored gelatin, and it had wonderful rigidity that let me cut it without it falling apart.

Next, I fried up some scrambled eggs and diced up spam. With the rice piping hot, I blended in some yellow chili brine to give it a nice vinegary kick, which offset all the salty-savory here by refreshing the palate. The aspic slowly melted, and it essentially turned the rice into another meaty taste, with little blasts of fishy soy sauce goodness. I kid you not, I wolfed the entire plate down in 8 minutes. Just a non-stop gorging on it.

Mmm, dessert. Peanut cookies, orange slices, and fake oreos with a glass of milk and cream.

Made pizza yesterday! I used naan bread, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and cheese of course. I usually use whole wheat pita bread, but this came out pretty great :) 20150719_185427.jpg 20150719_185240.jpg
