Thanks for making this Dame! Good mood is the new forum seems to be picking up steam!

 

She makes me so damn happy, it's ridiculous. September can't get here soon enough.

 

Feeling pretty good today, just need to shower and get some coffee in me.

 

Nanananan, by taking 4 "official" days off I now have 9-day long weekend I'll have to do some family stuff in it though.

 

Yes!! I got the transfer that I was looking for and I will now be working at a location that is soooooo much closer to my new place ^.=.^

 

Today my partner and I have been together for three and a half years. And we got promise rings for each other <3 I love him so much and I can't wait to spend many more years together!

My partner and I have promise rings but they're not as fancy as that ;3

 

mine we got on etsy (on sale ;3) and it's blue topaz and iolite

 

How funny, I got my partner's promise ring on esty too
Hers is her birthstone which is Peridot ;3

My shirt came in the mail! Ahh!

Back in the winter of 2008 Hot Topic released a shirt with the face of the Joker on it from The Dark Knight. Very soon after, Heath Ledger died and Hot Topic was told to pull all the shirts from their shelves. I had been a fan of Ledger's for years beforehand and was excited about the new Batman movie that had yet to come out (it was released in the summer). I bought the shirt right before he died at the nearest HT store before it was pulled and it quickly became my favorite shirt. I wore the thing ragged. It faded, got small holes on the front and back, and eventually one of the armpits also wore out so I sewed it up as best as possible. My mom, not seeing it one day in the wash she was doing, also poured bleach all over it. It was ruined. It still looked kind of neat, but in my mind, it was ruined. I still wore it, although infrequently. I haven't worn it for years now, though.


Occasionally I would check Ebay and other reseller sites to see if someone would ever list the same shirt. I had never seen it for sale again since I bought my original one.
Now, six years later, I finally found it on Ebay, same size and NEW WITH TAGS! I bought it for a price only $11 more than the original. It was well worth it for the sentimental value alone!

Man, that is awesome about the shirt! I almost wish the same thing would happen with my super old Jack Skellington hoodie from high school, it was perfect. I got it from the Disney site years ago, they no longer sell it and I've never seen it elsewhere. It's way too ragged now for me to wear it.

 

Keep an eye out for it! It never hurts to periodically check Ebay like I did. It took a few years to finally crop up, but man, I am so happy right now. That was my all time favorite shirt and I just... wow. I feel so lucky to have found it again, and in new condition!
Out of all of The Dark Knight t-shirts and memorabilia out there, I had never seen another one like my first one. Not on someone else or even online... until this one popped up. And now it's mine!

Today, a bunch of the people I was parking today at work said I was beautiful (sincerely), even with the tacky uniform on :3
