We all love toys right? Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Gorgeous and unique toys, the ability to fully customize said toys, great customer service, an awesome community... But there's one thing that vexes all customers.

That's right, it's Toy Waiting Syndrome! They're a small company and much of that time is devoted to producing only the best of merchandise. But it doesn't change the fact that so many of us bounce in anticipation from the moment we decide to get a new toy to the first opening of the box when it arrives.

The stages of Toy Dragon Waiting Syndrome are as follows:
    1) Deciding on a toy.
    2) Collecting funds for said toy.
    3) Figuring out the features and deciding if you're really sure it's what you want, and perhaps ticketing for information or special requests.
(steps 1 through 3 are largely interchangeable)
    4) Placing the order.
    5) Checking 10 times a day while it's in the "Processed" stage.
    6) Checking the mail every time you pass the front door once it's shipped (or doing the same online if your package is trackable).
6.5) Despair and/or rage if shipment is delayed.
    7) Initial release of tension - your toy is on your front step!
The final three might not happen right away after stage 7:
    8) Unpacking. Second build of tension. "Oh boy oh boy oh boy...!!!":D
    9) Minor release of tension, possibly followed by more building - you can now see your toy in all its glory.
    9.5) Uh-oh! Something's wrong! Time to send a ticket! D:
    10) Final release of tension. You know why.;)

Maybe I'm being an overly paranoid worry wart, but could we swap the words "Bad Dragon" with "Toy"
This is the only thread that blatantly has the words Bad Dragon right in the title and I don't want to give the company any reason to ever even look in our general direction. (plus folks wait on toys from other places too)

am I being too cautious guys? I feel like I'm being too cautious

I'm currently on step 2. I want a Duke Butt but I'm going to Vegas so I can't really spend any money.

You think just the title or the whole post where they are mentioned?

hmm the whole post if you don't mind. BD isn't the only place people buy from and the stages are almost the same everywhere anyway

A tad bit too cautious, Dear.
The main concern is keeping the name off of things that speak negatively of them. At least in my opinion.
But I like "toy" for this too, because people don't just wait on BD :)

That's unfortunate. I hope everything works out.

ughhhh okay, need to vent... I've been stuck on Step 5 for one company. Since *December.*

Got word from them last Saturday that my order's done, they just need to photograph it!! Energy level spikes!

    Noooo word since then.

[wrings hands, then exhales/shakes the nervous energy away] Lesson learned, folks: if you tell somebody you don't mind waiting for something, no matter how long it might take, make sure you mean that completely.

Boargoth and I are just over step 4. He placed the order though, so I can't check in automatically. But this isn't the first time we've ordered stuff together and he always keeps me posted over E-mail or PM.

I'm on stage 6... sort of. I am used to the waiting now so I don't obsessively check it. I know it'll be here Monday and I'm not tensed up. Of course, it's not a BD toy and I didn't have to wait for than a week for it to ship, so that might have something to do with it.

Stage 5 here for my large Moko. I placed the order at 12:12AM on the 8th, which technically means it SHOULD fall under the 2 weeks sale (In retrospect, am I ever glad I hemmed and hawed about the colouration for 20 minutes :D). My customs have always taken 2+ months until now, so 2 weeks is crazzzy fast.

I did send in a ticket after the newsletter arrived asking if orders placed on the 8th, but before the e-mail went out, fell under the sale....haven't heard back yet though. I've prepared a bunch of screenshots showing dates and times if they tell me it doesn't :)

Yeah, they said orders placed before the sale won't be affected, they'll still be pushed through. I just worry about the quality check... I've had seams on a toy when there was no rush.
