    Personal Likes/Loves
    Terminator
    Bloodsport
    Expendables 1 & 3
    American Hustle
    Batman Begins
    Predator / AVP
    Silence of the Lambs
    Centurion
    The Rocky Series
Lord of the Rings Original Trilogy
    Scarface
    Up
    Die Hard 1 & 2

    Personal Dislikes/Hates
    Nightmare Before Christmas
    The Avengers
    The Dark Knight
    Prometheus
    Braveheart
    The Immortals
    The Godfather
    Harry Potter 2+
    Hobbit Trilogy
    Reservoir Dogs
    Die Hard 3 - 5

Generally I'm fairly picky about movies. I was also a long-time Marvel comic book fan, and because of that, I HATE most of the movies. I was the biggest fan of the Avengers comic books, and that movie is the biggest insult to what they were. I hate it so much it makes me physically ill.

Whenever I become a big fan of something, I become more harsh on things that follow it. Like, I was a big fan of LOTR, and a huge fan of Harry Potter. Batman Begins was my favorite movie for a quite a long time, as was Die Hard. Because of this, their sequels and mangling of characters annoys me increasingly as the sequels progress.

    -Avengers
    -Thor
    -Thor : The Dark World
    -Iron Man 1, 2 and 3
    -The Edge of Tomorrow
    -Prometheus
    -Alien franchise
    -How To Train Your Dragon
    -The Fantastic Mr. Fox
    -Avatar
-The Matrix (all three of them)
    -Both Captain America movies
    -Elysium
    -District 9
    -Gravity
    -I Am Legend
    -Hancock
-Star Trek and Star Trek : Into Darkness (haven't watched all the old tv series/movies though)
    -The Wolverine
    -X-Men Origins : Wolverine

    Personal Dislikes/Hates
-Basically any horror movie (I just find them silly)
-The Rubber (brainmelting stupid, but it's so dumb it's hella funny xD)
    -Any Die Hard
-Harry Potter movies (I loved the books though)
I can't think of any others that are worth noting here, I'll just edit in case I remember more titles.

I loved Fearless... I'm not sure why.

    Love/like (that people generally dislike):

    2012
    Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
    Armageddon

    Hate/dislike (that people generally like):
    Iron Man 3
Star Wars Ep III: Renege of the Sith

Of course, I want to include 2 of the worst movies that I can think of: Batman and Robin and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. I want to scrub my mind of those movies. THE GOGGLES THEY DO NOTHING!

I think last year FX did a 24 hour marathon of Die Hard to counter the 24 hours of A Christmas Story

I have to say, there is a soft spot in my heart for the old grinch movie... Otherwise, I completely agree.

And another unpopular opinion... Though its a mildly entertaining movie, I never understood what makes Animal House such a classic, or even why people find it so funny.

I didn't find it that funny either. Maybe it's cause it's more a product of it's time, or that I give zero shits about frat culture.

On another note, I don't find Caddyshack that great either. At best it's a series of semi-chuckle worthy moments, but as a full movie it's just.... boring.

Caddyshack is dated. Everything is pretty cliched, especially the antagonist. That's weak-sauce.

I can relate with you on the Shinning. The book was wonderful but the movie was so wrong! I did love the actor for Jack, but no topiary animals, bad acting for Rachel IMO. sigh. same thing happened for the Pet Semetary, one or two good actors but so many inconsistencies from the book that it hurt.

You know, I like Battleship, but have you seen "Bayhem," the video that explains why Michael Bay films all look the same? It also explains why Battleship, which is by someone who thinks he's as good as Michael Bay, why he's not Michael Bay.

The other thing is that, as much as I like Battleship, there are a few moments in the film where I realized the director really, really sucked at his job.

I found Boyhood to be overrated and boring. So what they filmed it over 12 years (or however many it was), that doesn't make it good.

This is probably the best place to say this, but I've NEVER seen/read book seven of Harry Potter. I was actually a massive fan at the end of book six, but never picked up book seven in either book or movie form.

I don't really care for Star Wars and I never understood the hype about it. I mean...it just sort of seems like another sci-fi movie to me.

I think all the Matrix films are really good.

Escape From New York is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
