Hello everyone, it's been a bit too long since I've been here.

Kranix wants me to go to the doctor. I've been having some problems for a while but I don't go to the doctor because whenever I tried to seek help in the past I was blown off. In high school I went about migraine headaches and was told they were sinus headaches (when they weren't) because I was "too young" to have migraines (which makes no sense) and I was given medication that didn't work. Then I went about chronic back pain and was told it was because my back was out of shape (which didn't make sense, because I exercised regularly and my back was extremely well toned) and was told to work out and that that would fix it. And I went about asthma, which had caused me to collapse while exercising, and was told I probably didn't have asthma and had to listen to them explain the difference between asthma and being out of shape, only to then test as very firmly asthmatic with their machine. Still, I didn't go back. I don't like going to the doctor only to be told I am too young or too fat for my problems. Which is why I haven't truly seen a doctor in about 6 years.

But currently my rib cage hurts. Like, all the time. When there's pressure on it from an outside force it hurts so badly I have to move or beg the person to not touch me, depending on the circumstances. Also I get migraine headaches almost every day. Caffeine doesn't effect them. If I have the same amount every day I get a migraine, if I have more than usual I still end up with a migraine. If I have less than usual I still get a migraine. I am now drinking less caffeine consistently and I still get a migraine every day. If I take medicine it helps, but if I nap it doesn't go away. My migraines are accompanied by throbbing on both sides, nausea, sensitivity to movement, light, sound, and smell, aches, neck pain, and sometimes more. I also have joint pain, chronically, in my upper and lower back, knees, ankles, and fingers. Occasionally I have elbow, wrist, and hip stiffness and pain. And recently I've been feeling achy all over. Right now my thighs are absolutely killing me with aching crampy feeling.

And I really don't want to go to the doctor, because even Kranix has said it's probably all in my head, so that's probably what doctors would say too. At the same time he thinks I should go. I don't understand... and I don't want to just be told that I'm fat again.

    Hey Kate. *huggles* :(

When I first started reading your post, my thought was have Kranix go with you to the doc's for support, but....hmmmm.

You need the strength and conviction (this sounds like an epic battle) to insist that the doc consider alternative causes or if that fails, the willpower to seek out another doctor for a different opinion. It might be hard to find it within yourself to do this on your own, which is a reason to find some backup (Kranix or a close family member/friend) who will be willing to go with you to provide emotional support.

I have two close friends that suffer from migraines regularly. They take meds for it daily. I'm fairly sure if I told them that it was all in their head, they'd punch my lights out (and rightfully so)!

Try to get to the doc if you can. And if you can't...*leans against your back to hold you up and keep you moving forward*

And technically Kranix didn't say my migraines were all in my head, he was talking more about my body pains. I tend to ignore them and when they get worse I notice all of them at once. But that does seem like it would be imaginary. I don't know about them.
I just don't want to go about migraines because I've told them before and I don't trust them now. "Them" being doctors.

@DameKathryn: They told my mom that for years. Go to the doctor and ask for a full work up, including a CT scan. My mom's migraines were caused by a pinched nerve behind her left ear. She was have to 6 advil a day just to stay functional. So if your doctor says it is about your weight or just in your mind. Tell them you are going to seek another opinion.

Hm. My keyboard already has a bulletproof dirt plating on keys xD Plus, a month's supply of food for the whole army.
@Edit : Why the hell the last post I see is that @RedVixenFur 's one, then I post my obviously short message, and I see a half of page filled with text >.>
Mybe go to other doctor, one that you didn't went to before Dame? I don't know whether you can change them like gloves or just go to whichever one you want (here you can't). But it's worth trying, those issues seem too dangerous to neglect.

So I'm on a roll. I rent one movie via Redbox and with the receipt, I got another, that tend has continued so now I'm on movie #4. I wonder if this will last all day, just cycling movies since they keep giving me free codes. I already have a code for a fifth movie after I finish this one.

Migraines can be caused by literally anything.
Mine were hormonal, and my bf's mom's was because of chocolate. (hers were so bad that she would wake up at night vomiting x.X)

Definitely get that looked into, especially if they are bad. They should be giving you a steroid until you figure out the root cause of it.

That's it! Time to exercise and get fit. Next month asking the mom not to buy all that garbage and buy other than just coca cola for drinking or I'm going to have a stroke.

Go slow and make small changes. Everything is easier when you tackle one thing at a time. Just make progressive lifestyle changes and you'll be happy with it all in no time ^^

I'll be back to eating lots of chocolate in 2 months. Happened last year XDDD
    At least I'm no longer underweight which is fantastic but I don't want this non-flat tummy ;A;
Also, it is necessary for my toooootally sedentary lifestyle. Walking at least the usual 6'2km tomorrow, maybe running a bit.

Sketched up a new handpaw design, as well as foamwork for the 4.0 version of my suit! <3

The new patterns will take a little bit of trial and error, but when it checks out, my new suit will feature padded toony handpaws n.n

Now, I'm just waiting for the move to be finished up so I can get my workshop set up in the basement so I can start on the project!

Well, I believe you. And I encourage you to tear your doctor a new asshole if he/she doesn't believe you. Pain is pain. Period. Whether it's caused by a physical or psychological malady makes no difference, your body is sending messages of pain and there are ways to resolve that. I don't want to be an alarmist, but from the description of your symptoms it sounds pretty serious. Constant migraines and joint pain are not a good combination (assuming they are connected). Your rib/side pain is probably connected too. And no, I'm not a doctor, but I have been a chaplain at a hospital for a while and I know symptoms. Be forceful with your doctor and impress upon him/her that this is not imagined. The pain is real and the impact it has on you is real.

/endrant (sorry, but people not believing symptoms or dismissing things medically is one of my pet peeves) I really do hope everything ends up fine. But always know there are people here who believe you. *hugs*
