I dreamed that I was back in second grade, and my teacher (who in real life was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher) gave us a really complex assignment, and forgot to give us some of the papers we needed. We kept telling him and after what seemed like hours of trying to convince him, he realized how he'd messed up. He asked me to go make copies of the paper he'd forgotten to give us, and for some reason the copy machine was on the 50th floor of the empire state building. For some reason, there were only two elevators. One was an antique elevator like you'd find in a hotel in the 20's, and the other was some sort of weird alternating paternoster lift escalator combo where each set of lifts went up a few floors, and all the individual steps were labeled so you knew what step to stand on if you wanted to be perfectly in line with the the floor you wanted to get off on. I remember it not having a large margin of error though, so I opted for the antique elevator. It took FOREVER to get up, but I eventually got to the 49th floor, where I accidentally got off. I knew it would take too long to wait for the single antique elevator again, so I took a look at the paternoster system. It scared the crap out of me to even try to get on that thing, because it had pretty big gaps of just open air to either side of the entrance where I could just fall to my death if I misstepped. I remember a bunch of people standing around the edge of the gap, which didn't even have a railing, and one guy even had his legs dangling over the edge. Then he dropped down the gap, but nobody watching freaked out, so I assumed he knew what he was doing. But that sealed the deal that I did NOT want to take the lift system, and I decided to explore the floor and look for a stairwell. I went through a bunch of antique wooden rooms, going up and down various stories by random ladders and antique stair cases, not once ending up on the 50th floor, and eventually finding myself in a huge library on the back side of the building somewhere on the 49th floor. There was this massive wooden statue attached to the end of an aisle of bookcases who was holding up a massive pillar candle which was braced against the load-bearing wooden beam in the center of the library. Well I did SOMETHING, I don't remember what, but at the time it seemed like it triggered the candle to snap into three massive pieces. Suddenly, all the support beams and wooden columns all over the library were cracking and splitting like balsa wood. I was running and trying to escape as the Empire State Building collapsed around me. I got out of the collapsing library by going up a ladder to the 51st or 52nd story. I remember escaping down collapsing floor after collapsing floor using the paternoster lifts, some sets of which had gotten de-synced or blocked to the point where there were rescuers sliding people out at the last moment as they went by. By the time I got down a few floors, I realized I didn't have my backpack, and went up to the top remaining floor, the 50th, (finally) to find it. I found it almost completely demolished. Other than about half of the story above still being intact, it was completely open to the sun. I ran around the backside of the 50th floor searching through rubble as construction crews with backhoes were clearing the rubble nearby. When I finally found my backpack, I woke up.

I just started remembering some of my dreams lately. It happens if cycles but I'll usually forgot them if I don't write them down (I wake up and then go back to sleep).
The only part of the dream I can really remember is that I was 2 other people in a courtyard. Apparently there were more of our group, but they kept dying one-by-one. We didn't seem to care and there were clues to how the next person was going to die. They were like post-it-notes attached to lawn darts. It gave a semi-detailed expliantion and who it would happen to. I don't recall reading the note but it had to do with one of the people I was with having his balls removed, set on fire and then playing baseball with them. He didn't seem freaked up but he, understandably, was reluctant. This went on for a bit.
Eventually, we were playing baseball but it was a regular ball and I kept hitting people with it. For some reason I won and that allowed me to get married to some guy, there were a lot of other people around (no idea where they came from). I don't know who the guy was. My father was there and was really happy for some reason, but soon after, he got sad.

Just a suggestion, but above anything else, you might want to save your posts from this thread.

Really strong dreams the last few days.

Today I had a dream that took me all over, but the main bit I remember was in a larger version of my local mall (a dreamscape I've seen before) in the section full of closed shops, and dodgy arcades. I won a bunch of plushies, including a Furret pillow, a giant Ledian doll, some sort of stuffed animal hat, and a plushie that was a turtle that could be turned inside out to make a giraffe.

A few days ago, I found myself in an entirely new dreamscape, which was a bit of land at the northern tip of the land border between Alaska and Russia (It made sense at the time) which was owned by my uncle's family. All the grass was brown and yellow, and very short like it never grows tall enough to mow. The land had a number of houses, some were just stock cabins with one or two bedrooms, a bathroom, and that's about it. There was one main (albeit small) house at the end of the driveway, which was the first house you'd get to, as well as the furthest south. On the east side of the property there was a small lake, which had two large, rather old Victorian houses directly on the water. I remember the property being quite a long drive into town. The cabin I ended up staying in was right along the fence that served as the border marker. It was an old three-slat farm style fence. I remember going in and realizing nothing had changed since the last time we'd been there years before. There were still barbies on the bed and floor from my sisters, and most curiously there was a bag of McDonald's hamburgers and cheeseburgers in the closet that was still warm. I remember someone telling me it meant the Russians had been using the cabin while we were away, but I didn't believe that in the dream. I can remember feeling like the place freezes over solid most of the time. It also felt like this isn't the last time I'll be dreaming about this place.

The day before that, I dreamed I was at another con, being held at a castle on top of a hill, but also at the same time at a bigger version of the local Big Lots. Not much to say about that one.

So today I had an interesting dream. The premise was that there was this substance that allowed you to jump through glass and a few other solid things. It looked like a metallic transparent purple film. @Icestar was rich and she had it set up to be used as transport through her dad's mansion. Somehow we ended up in a war with a neighboring country and we were using this substance in all sorts of creative ways. Someone in our group kept not getting the hang of it, and snagging a lot. It also mattered how much of it you had on you. You could get credit cards that had a chip containing the substance on it (there was a scene where we bought one in the backwoods from people who had it sealed in a special bag because they didn't believe in the stuff). The most you'd have was on a sheet a bit bigger than a sheet of paper which you'd strap to your chest, and when it was like that, it was called "Miracle Ghost".

Lots of dreams over the last couple nights.

The first one, I had left furry porn up on a giant multi-screen console at work or school or something and got outed as a furry. To redeem myself, I entered the Olympic snow triathlon (bobsled, skiing, and luge). I got confused about what lane of the luge track to go into with another competitor, because what I was expecting to be my lane said it was closed. Eventually I just went down one of the lanes, only to find out that the lanes had been closed because the person in first had crashed and died. The person who I was confused with was best friends with the one who died, and I brought her to my grandparents who consoled her. I then went home all sad and my husband (I guess I was a woman at this point) and the rest of the cul-de-sac I lived on in the dream were throwing me a party for winning three gold medals. He broke the top off a bottle of chardonnay and poured it out before handing me the bottle. The bottle started filling back up and nobody believed me until it started bubbling over. It wouldn't stop refilling itself, and I couldn't cork it back because the top was broken.

Then today I dreamed that I was a dashing young man, who had found my way into the Beast's castle (from beauty and the beast) I had fallen in love with him, but was afraid to tell him. We treated each other as friends, and over time everyone started looking more and more human to me. There was one instance where his groundskeeper was in the garden playing a card game with him, and I stepped in and made a comment about their strategy, and despite knowing nothing of the game, accidentally made a good observation. After admitting I was making it up as I went along, they offered to teach me how to play. I never managed to tell him I loved him. In my mind, this is long before the time when Belle appeared.

My second dream was that I had moved to a farm in Missouri, where I felt incredibly happy. I fit in, was confident, and even met a cute and intelligent farm girl who liked me back. I helped her little brother through anger issues, and did a lot to help around the farm. It was all good until my mom's ex showed up and ruined my happiness just by being there.

Had some dream thoughts the other night, if those count. Streaks of color and restless sounds, mostly.
