I just don’t understand the prices of a secondhand toys. I would expect a significant mark down because it’s been used. And also the added risk of buying from a stranger. Why not spend the extra $20-50 directly from bad-dragon or mrhankey?

If you're not from the US, prices can be very much far below the "buy new" price because of taxes and shipping. Also, silicone is very easy to clean thoroughly, toys don't lose quality from it.

I've made note of this in my own listing and yet got harassed with no admin help. Getting harassed by buyers to drop the prices is obviously against the rules. I've since listed about several hundred dollars worth of toys on other websites and sold a couple recently. Refused to sell here sadly due to recent rude assholes and staff not replying for practically 2 weeks-1 month. Staff has pretty much abandoned this website. Dragonmo0r(Dragonhoard has had problems with them so they censored their name here. Can't say it with 2 o's.) and reddit have been my quick go-to's under different names. Not sure why moderation stopped.

Since most of the shops are in USA, clients out of USA have high shipping cost also in EU we have taxes on the things we buy from out of EU also y would prefer to give a new life to a toy someone else is not using anymore.

I agree that the price of used toys is often way too high. I just don't buy them. There's no incentive to buy used toys, when a brand new toy is sometimes only $30 more, for example. And when buying used, it's usually difficult or impossible to get exactly the colors, firmness and size you want. As I do have a few BD toys now, I realize that yes the colors do make a big big difference to me. Fancy colors are so much more appealing. Now that custom orders are available regularly, I'm much less inclined to buy used.

In the past, on the old site, I was able to get some amazing deals on used toys, and having the chance to buy toys at a discount helped me figure out what I liked. It accelerated the whole trial and error process. Example, large Ridley with suction cup and with signature fade (I forget the name but it was dark purple/dark green) for $70. Half price on a used toy is what I consider a good deal. If it's not priced less than 2/3 of the new price I don't even consider it. I hate haggling for prices so I never do it. I wish people would just state their best price.

BTW I also try to give people good deals when I sell something used. Especially if it's a toy that was used when I bought it. I'm in the USA so import taxes and super high shipping rates don't apply to my situation. I only buy from USA sellers. I have sent a few toys overseas though.

BTW the mods here are volunteers, and some of the complaints are about things they can't control, like rudeness.
