another note of observation. I noticed Judy wearing something under her t-shirt that appears to be a sports bra, but nooooone of the female animals have any breasts from what I can see; whats with that???

 

also, that look on bottom right tigers face is just unf

 

I'm just confused about whether or not other animals are sexually attracted to her, and importantly, if that's okay.

 

Yeah, the character was there to give Disney their quota of "obligatory hit song everyone will remember from the movie"

BUT, Shakira has stated that she really connects with the character on an emotional level, and jumped on the opportunity as soon as it was offered to her. I suspect maybe Gizelle had one or two short scenes cut from the final movie.

 

Given this was a movie geared towards "kids" (riiiight), no one openly expressed attraction towards her, but her stage costume and this poster of her are mildly risqué

 

Innnnteresting. Wondering how you can emotionally click with someone who probably only had 7 total minutes of screen time, but perhaps you're right about those deleted scenes. Time to go sniff them out!

Like daaaayum son lol. Whats interesting is that we have no way of distinguishing one tiger from the other, but I would suspect the "Right side" tiger is more than just her dance partner. Observe in the above pic how shes actually making physical contact with the tiger making the most sexy pose. Also check out these pics below. The tiger on the left side is indeed looking at her, but the Right one looks downright smitten. Further down you see a Right tiger walking with her in the streets. I can dig this

So, did anyone else notice that Mr. Otterton never had any lines in the movie?

 

unless you count his rabid squeaking and Mr.Big saying that he was mumbling about NightHowlers.
I am so hopeful for a sequel. I mean really, it shat allllll over Frozen's records and has so much potential for another story.

 

I'm hoping they go the Kung Fu Panda route, and have not only (fairly decent) sequels, but also a TV series at the same time.

 

KFP 2 was definitely great, but 3 imo was a steeeeeeamin pile.
As for tv syndication, I kind of feel like it would pull the franchise down, mostly because the plots would have to be watered down to fit into 30 minute slots. On top of that, the graphic quality is always cutback for the tv series and I'd hate to see that happen to such a gorgeous piece o film

 

You're telling me they couldn't fit a good kids' cop drama into 30-minute episodes?

The way i saw i saw it, the animals were symbols of different races and cultures coming together so even though theyre different theyre still the same 'species', if that makes sense.

In short. Yes i think its okay.

 

See I sorta thought the same until Judy made the comment about it being inappropriate for an animal from another species to call her cute. That muddles the whole etiquette for me.

And then there's the whole thing about Nick having a son from a visibly different species of canid. Is inter-species-same-genus breeding a common practice in this world?
