    Well this now all makes perfect sense. Lion is a direct link to the gem world which he carries as his mane. The reason steven couldn't breathe there was because he was half human. Full gems don't need oxygen. *mind blown*
    As for the latest episode of steven's fusion don't tell me CN cut their showing times cause a girl merged into a guy.

    So you know each Crystal Gem as a star on their clothing? except for Lapis and Peridot who had rectangular shapes? and then way back in the episode "Serious Steven" there was this:
