I mean, if its something that treads on your core values and hes not being sensitive or willing to compromise on it maybe you two got into a committed relationship too soon?? I'm not 100% on that as this is the first time I've heard about your bf >_>

 

Perhaps you need to stop being in relationships with people you've known for very short periods of time...

 

I said something dumb and he got really mad and I thought he was breaking up with me and I freaked out and we've been arguing about exes and I sort of broke up with him but I didn't want to and now we're trying to figure it out...

Shush. At least I've known this one for like a month, as opposed to the last one who I only knew for a few days. >3>

Hypocrisy, jealousy, possible gaslighting (new favorite word BTW), and it seems like he intends to continually guilt-trip me for breaking up with him (as a knee-jerk reaction, which I explained pretty quickly that I didn't mean to say, but...) while accepting no responsibility for the hurtful shit he said to me.
I understand a lot of that sounds like just general fight stuff, but I showed a friend the texts and she thinks he's being manipulative.

On top of it I'm having HUGE mood swings and I'm alternating between desperate and vulnerable, absolutely furious, and a relatively stable state where I'm just looking back at the others and going WTF...

if stuff like that is "general fight stuff" to you, we need to fix something and fast. I don't like making judgment calls when I'm not seeing things first hand, but this guy does not seem like bf material at all. I'd cut all ties with him if it were me

It seems to be the general consensus that I should nope my way out of this as fast as I can. I'm gonna try, but I guess we'll see how it goes.
I've tried to confront him about his behavior but he goes on the offensive and snaps at me for even thinking he would do such a thing...

Omg I love that term, and finding out it was a thing was very validating. You don't tend to see it in those online lists of signs of abuse. My previous partner did it constantly, among other things. It was fucked up...
It's strange you don't tend to hear much about it, it was one of the sneakiest and most damaging things he did to me.

 

Also he accused me of cheating on him with my best friend, since she's my ex. :/
But apparently it's totally fine that he talks to like 6 of his exes and is planning to spend a few days with one, not to mention all the flirting he does with random girls online...

EDIT: Also I'm apparently still madly in love with the emotionally abusive ex and would bang him if I had the chance. NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE

So I'm sick again (looking like a stomach bug) but feeling slightly better but still pretty crappy....ugh in such pain

 

Broke up with him for realsies. I feel kinda shitty, but that was headed nowhere good.

Couldn't agree more. (Are we mind-fused or what, I agree with almost every statement you make, and I often couldn't put it better xD) Too bad life feeds us much more bullshit than freedom usually.

But yeah, you CANNOT be on hormones AND be in an (even marginally) emotionally abusive relationship at the same time. That's a good way to end up with permanent damage. Actually, just fuck emotional abuse in general.
