Hehe is this a "subtle" reminder that we're supposed to be getting back into it? :3

 

No, I just randomly felt like doing this about 5 days ago, and slowly did that xD Though getting back into it would be nice indeed, but no pressure there~
I've set myself a little goal along with this, to work at least a bit on my drawing each day. So far I managed to did that, with this picture. Later today I'm gonna try starting something furry (for a difference, lol), and take it slowly. A bit of work each day. No rushing.

 

'Tis one for @Icestar :3 I'm quite happy with my drawing skill progress.
Now there are two more dragons down the line to draw... *winks at @Exeter and @Hybrid88 * (also excuse me if the color combo on the background looks bad for you, for me it looks quite nice and it's better than plain white. Of course I can change it if needed~)

That's because I do ^^ I still kinda have to force myself to begin drawing, but when I make the move and complete that terribly long, 10 second sequence of getting the tablet out and plugging it, I feel like I'm going for an adventure!

 

@Exeter So here's one for ya :3
Tried to make it better, first by trying to draw a full-body, I failed, then I tried to at least give it some shading... I guess this must suffice for now before I break my tablet in desperation xD I hope you'll enjoy this.

It's just... UGH countless tries to make both full-body and (in this case or) shading looks at least somewheat plausible... My skills are like "NOPE BRO" :<
But I'm glad you enjoy it ^^

 

It'll be a while before you make anything you're really proud of, but that's okay, it takes time to become an artist. Gotta make a whole lot of mistakes and keep trying before you get anything right ^^ Gotta try new things and keep practicing little things until you master them. Gotta accept all the mistakes as part of the learning process, and just gotta keep practicing ^^

 

Sweetie practice more on paper and I'm sure you'll find tablet easier afterwards.

 

Trying to begin working on thing for @Hybrid88 ... but instead this came up, like in 2 minutes. Uber simple, yet somehow worth calling finished.

 

Huh. This started out as a loose doodle, and when I refined it a bit, and quickly colored, it has some potential. WIP, but I'll be definitely working on refining this (correcting the sketch, linearting, properly coloring etc)

 

That's a whole lot of improvement already!

 

So I did refine the previous thingy, also experimented with brushes to give a "smoking fire in the room" look, I think it doesn't look bad (for my skill level, that is)
Also, "behind the closed bulkhead there lies a great terror".

I don't know why my sketches actually look better to me than clean lineart. Any ideeas?

 

There's a lot more movement in the sketches, that might be one thing you're seeing. It makes the picture feel more alive in a way.

Okay, so I tried to make @Icestar 's meme, but filling all the panels out would take ages still. I need to figure out how to draw things and how they work so I won't be spending hours correcting them at each panel

But, during the process, the first panel actually turned well enough to be made into separate picture (there was only linearting and coloring to do, sketch was just copy-paste from the meme lol) of Arclight. First art of him made by me! (well, technically second, but first one that turned out well lol)
