Not half as well as you, apparently. I only have seasonal work ahead of me, and that doesn't officially start until the 25th, and only lasts until Oct 31, and just weekends at that.

 

Nervous, because planes and being surrounded by people I don't know.

 

Ish. I'm terrified of planes just because I'm a huge puss and I think: "YAY Gonna crash in a plane and die a horrible, miserable death YAY". I really wish I didn't have a fear of flying. After flying to Europe three times in my life you'd think it would change. NOPE. <_>

Also EE's new werewolf toy.... Holy. Odin. The texture is freakin' UNBELIEVABLE. When I see it I just kinda wanna chew out BD and be like "Don't ever complain about how hard it is to fade toys". I think I really need one. :I

 

I just hate being locked to a chair (d'aw, so ironic) with no room to move, surrounded by way too much people. That's why I like ships, you can free roam and get away from people and those obnoxious seats XDDDDDDDDDDDD

First day feeling truely defeated by work. Was not feeling good today already and 5-9 didn't help. I doubt 9-4am will help tomorrow either. -deflated possum noises-

 

Flights over cruises for me.

I do not want to go out on a boat if I can't see the coast.

 

I don't care if I can't see the coast or the ground. I just want to walk XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
If only I had a private jet...

 

Give me a few years to get my pilot's license and we can talk about going 50-50 on one. I still wanted to get that plane design of Duke drawn out.

EDIT: Black jet, Duke on one side, Janine on the other, both in a position showing off their assets but censored by roses. Imagine seeing that pull up to an airport terminal.

 

Cruises over flights for me, though I'm fine with flights. I just love being out away from it all, and having the ability to really just get away and not have to worry about anything, like transportation, or making food, or cleaning up, and it all starts the second you step on the ship, with the exception of the safety lecture around leaving port to start the cruise.

 

I think if I flew over land I would be fine, but the majority of all my flights ever have been over an ocean (and the majority flying over the ocean took around 4 hours). It was terrible. Knowing if I crash in the ocean that far out I can pretty much say bye-bye to everyone LOL Even if I did survive the initial crash. Plus I have... an awful fear of seaweed.....

 

@AkaiKitsune @Wolfcat I often think that dreams are so susceptible to our lucid suggestions that we can accidentally ruin them by being too aware. I suspect that the reason your sexual dreams go awry is that you're expecting them to go a certain way, and you want them to go a certain way, and suddenly you're exercising lucid control over the dream, but your mind has an internal consistency system in place that checks fantasy against reality. It's the reason I can never fly in dreams when I realize I'm dreaming. I have had plenty of lucid dreams, even ones where I have flown, but as soon as I start thinking about the dreams, I start wanting to do things. I stand there awkwardly trying to make the world change but my brain is trying to feed those instructions through the consistency filter. All that's coming up is "No, there are rules in the world that stop you from doing that."

Worse, I often trick myself into cliches. At some point I think I start accidentally lucidly controlling my dreams to follow cliche patterns. I can't outrun the monster because monsters are SUPPOSED to catch you. I lost something important because you're SUPPOSED to not be able to find what you need in a dream. I can't overpower the bully because bullies are SUPPOSED to be unbeatable. I can't complete the sex act because you are SUPPOSED to get interrupted in those scenarios. You're never aware of how a scenario started, you slowly come into lucidity in the middle of the action and hopefully don't trip that consistency filter. As soon as you're too aware, you're no longer experiencing something playing out in front of you, you're waiting for parts of your brain that were freeform dreaming to keep doing it, but you're now using them for their regular functions instead. I think It's why dreams often stop when we realize we're dreaming, you start wrenching brain functions away from freeform exercise and turning them back to consciousness and suddenly, you're awake.

 

That's when you enter the "This isn't that world" clause.

 

Bummed about work. I haven't done it in 3 weeks. It's webcamming, so I can do it whenever I want but I have no motivation. Why? Cause I'm not getting paid for the work I was doing.
Many months back, one of the managers ran off with the money from the company. I couldn't get my last two weeks pay. I did the work, but the jerk skipped out.
About month ago the second manager that replaced him basically did the same thing so I wasn't getting my last week pay from that one. So I did work, didn't get paid... did they really expect me to keep working like nothing has happened? There is no incentive to work when I'm not getting paid.
I mean sure, we have, from what I can tell, a more trust-worthy manager now... but with nothing coming in and all kinds of things I have to pay for... I just can't find the will to do it. Besides... I never know if this kind of thing will happen again. Doing work with no pay.

One of the factors of me never going on one again. That and being trapped on a boat.

 

trapped on a boat with norovirus would be worse. I'll be curious to see how many more outbreaks happen because that stuff is pretty resilient and unless you disinfect every last place it could get into you run the risk of it flaring back up. it can stay active for years in still water.

on another note, viruses and parasites are really fascinating to me because something so small without any conscious thoughts can fuck up so much shit just by accident

Not feeling work today...we're losing good people at a very rapid rate and we're relatively understaffed. Under normal circumstances we are supposed to have about 12-14 people on our staff for our kiosk. By October we will have a mere 8...can't wait for myself and all the people I like there to finally leave.
