My computer has fixed itself with the help of this YouTube vid and patience.

Now I can play games again.

Yeah this windows update had been doing my head in since Thursday. All I had to do was leave my pc on for a few hours and it fixed itself. Feel sorry for the people that actually paid people to come out and repair their systems.

Yep seeing as your windows automatically updates itself even when you haven't logged into it. If it is just running with your pc connected to the internet via a Ethernet cable and you have auto updates on. The latest repair patch for the kb3097877 fuck up should fix itself.

I'm living in the capital of Sweden so this is usually where the bands I like end up when touring. I make time because I really want to see the band perform live! This was my third concert this month. During the fall there's usually a lot more concerts than the rest of the year.

 

You lucky mofo, would love to have that opportunity.

 

If I ever decide to move to another city then missing a lot of concerts would hurt most I think.

 

I could stand in a bar awkwardly with a group of people.

Just read an article stating that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is finally going to recommend a daily cap on sugar intake (no more than 10% of calories per day, or about about 50 grams... which is still a lot!) That's actually big news, considering it's probably one of the biggest contributors to weight gain and poor health in general (in first world countries, anyway.)

Healthy eating is such a mystery to people, and that's understandable, but I'm not sure how many people are aware of how *bad* sugar actually is. We've been through the "fat is bad," and "carbs are bad," phases. Neither of those are true in and of themselves; they're simply macro-nutrients. Sugar, however, is almost never beneficial. While it's fine in moderation, as a whole we take it way too far. I hope this "cap" at least gets people to be a little more mindful of their meals.

 

Nutrition is a complicated subject on the whole, but it baffles me just how little people know about the rather easy, straightforward macro nutrient part.
As for straight up sugar, this is great news that the FDA is trying to educate people a bit. Having a piece of fruit a day should be pretty well good enough for the day for sugar (and you get the nice bonus of fibre and a bit of nutrients too).

 

I wouldn't try to limit anyone's fruit intake . There's much worse things they could be eating. Of course it can be taken too far, like almost anything.
The only food group that is nearly impossible to overdo is vegetables.
