Planning to play the lottery once again, cause yolo.
All I know is that if I won I'd either buy or build a home where everyone on here can escape to for any time they wish.
Plus a full collection of any/every toy in any/every color and any/every size they so desire.
As well as a full list of things that's too long to put here, but yeah a guy can dream right? ^.=.^

I'm not surprised, it's not often that the lottery breaks all records and becomes the largest prize in history.

Yeah... I know I won't win. But I had a few bucks to spare, so why not dream a little.

Honestly at this point I'd be happy to win anything...even if it was just $4.

Maybe because I'm an odd case but why not try to start a website to share furry art. With the sole reason that is not owned by bad dragon

I'm starting to get relatively depressed not having a job.
Knowing that my funds are limited and not being able to get a job despite the many applications is disheartening...

If a stooge like me can find a job then I'm more than certain you will.
Sometimes you have to chase it down. Like I got my first job while I was still in college. It was raining really hard, but I saw online that a nearby Luby's restaurant was hiring, so I got on a bus for 35 minutes to arrive all soggy and disheveled to ask for a paper application . I ALWAYS try to apply in person if I can, because you get to scope the place, and possibly run into the manager which is exactly what happened. He saw me sitting there and waved me over and gave me a pre trial interview on the spot. He told me that someone would be calling me for a follow up interview, but guess what, they never did!!! I waited 2 weeks and finally decided to call back and it turns out he had FORGOTTEN all about it. He apologized and I got my 2nd interview and eventually the job. So I guess the moral of the story is stay on the offensive, make yourself visible, stalk the manager, and always call to inquire after your applications/interview

I guess where my problem lies is that I'm being too picky with my job selection.
I'm trying super hard to find a warehouse job or some sort of job where I don't have to deal with the public.
Doing any sort of customer service job or food service job is literally a last resort which I feel like I'm coming up on all too quickly.
Although it's only been a couple of days since I've sent out most of my applications so there's still some hope.

Also you're not a stooge Miss.

Quote honestly, i think of jobs like i do cars. Go after what you need, not what you want. If you need some form of income.... Take anything that'll give you that income ( legally of course) i don't really consider myself the best people person, but left and right I'm being told I'm really great with customers. Ive worked retail for a decade and can agree that people can be ignorant pricks chanting the mantra "the customer is always right". Though, emotion is a tool. If you can control it well, you'll be an expert In retail. If a customer is blowing up In your face, retain your cool and "pretend to break" ( without anger) if necessary. If they see you're human they'll apologise for themselves. They often forgett we're people too. Point is, work is work. If you aim for what you want you may never find it (at least immediately) find a placeholder.

I find that explaining the cause behind any issues as honestly as possible won't make people much less mad, but they'll appreciate your honesty and be less mad at YOU.

I was stuck in one of the worst job markets in Canada, desperately sending off resumes, trying to find anything that was better than Wendy's. But frankly nothing would pay me more, nothing would guarantee me hours, nothing was reachable on my own. My ex was insistent that I needed to find something better without once believing that I'd sent hundreds of applications off. Not once had I been called for an interview or anything. I still have emails of "we have received your resume" from dozens of places.

My point is, don't let it bring you down. You know you're working at it and you have to be proud of that. Nothing can change or diminish the fact that you're trying hard. After all that work going nowhere and my ex dumping me for somebody new, I move to this city, get the first job that I can, and only ever get two interviews in six months of applications in a much more stable job market. One was a bank that only interviewed me once, and one was my current job, where I had one of the three interviews I was supposed to before they hired me.

The job search is stupid but it will get better and you will find something. I didn't even apply for this job, an out-hiring agency contacted me to prepare me for an interview. I didn't even realize this job was an option.

    Yeah I hear ya.
I need to keep telling myself that I'll find something eventually, but I really wish I could find something now so that I can help my mom with finances.
It's just that overpowering feeling of uselessness that gets to me super hardcore, and I don't like it at all cause it's bad enough that I don't think highly of myself and feel like I'm useless to begin with...

You best nip thoughts like that in the bud!
Most perspective employers won't give you a second look, if they see even a hint of that kind of attitude from an applicant.
I know getting rejected over and over makes it hard. But it's a must, to beat those negative feelings down, when applying for work.
