What I don't understand is why the person just didn't buy the whole set.
Granted a lot of factors pop up; maybe they couldn't afford all of them and only bought one to deter others from buying it; maybe there was only the two books to begin with.

Who knows, all I know is that I can't find a copy of The Fellowship of the Ring that matches that set.

Nevermind I found them, they're apparently a part of a collection.

Who knows. Maybe that person was completing a collection of their own?
You're lucky though to find them at such a cheap price!

    Yeah I am indeed lucky.
I also found a vintage copy of Alice in Wonderland for my friend that appeared to be from the 50's.
It was an awesome book store :D

Awesome book store. Isn't that a bit redundant?

I one had a large format set, about 10 X12 inches. I took them to a specialty book binder, and had them bound in thick white leather covers, reinforced spines, and gold gilded edges, complete with handmade paper cover liners. Cost me about $40 each for the four books, "The Hobit" and the "Load of the Rings" trilogy. Never got around to doing The "Silmarilion". I was devastated when I discovered them missing one day.

I was just thinking zootopia is coming out soon right?
Wonder how many parents will blame that movie for supposedly making their child a furry?

It's freakin cold here!!! Like, five degrees with a wind chill of -11. The one nice thing about the weather today was that it was snowing, but it was separate snowflakes so the air was just filled with glitter! :D

They'll need to also blame every single cartoon that ever used anthropomorphicized animals to pitch it to children. And then blame the marketers and/or psychologists who realized that animals have more diverse appearances than humans and that small animals are more appealing to the original intended audiences of such things.

Oh, and remember that people only hold onto certain things from their childhood, depending on so many different factors like what experiences were associated with those things or how much exposure they had to it. So chances are if the parents give their kids a hard time for liking things like Zootopia, they won't hang onto it unless a rebellious or secret hobby mentality sets in, but if their parents allow it or even encourage it they will be more comfortable with it.

And then there's phases.....psychology and people are fun.

I think what I need is interaction and feedback, not a reward system (joking or otherwise). :|

I seem to have a lot of trouble drawing without at least one person interacting with me about it. Commenting on it, suggesting things, or even just chit chatting I guess.
