Welp, thank goodness for my mother waking up so early, otherwise I probably would have slept in longer and end up rushing around to get to work. >.>

 

Well about £234 out of pocket today because of my dentist bill. I go private rather than nhs so god dammit it's expensive.
I feel very light headed cause of the drug they gave me. Wheee fuzzy head.

 

damn, 40*F this morning which is pretty warm considering it's been below freezing at 7am for the past month or so

 

Recently bought myself a new Verlo mattress. Was on sale and got $50 off for a mismatch (even though it wasn't labeled as such, the salesman was nice). Debated on a double sided or single side but got the single, since I'd probably get a new mattress when I move out. Got another twin, as again I'll probably get another mattress when I move. But I still like it.

 

So hungry but my face hasn't un-numbed yet. *cry*

I have until the end of next month to find a new location, just like Bocephus said, the pressure's on.

@Exeter: My parents did that to me years ago after I went through minor dental surgery. I think I was six at the time.

I was born with a slight underbite and a "thrusting tongue". Fixed the bite, still have the tongue problem.

@Jazzi: I think I might just toss out my bed and either get a water bed or a hammock.

 

Just got back from orientation.
Oh my goodness I'm so glad that I found this job. I feel that despite it not being in the field I want to work I absolutely love this company. They treat me with a respect that I have never encountered ever since I started working back when I was 18.
I'm very much looking forward to giving it my all and doing this job to the best of my ability.
First training day starts this Saturday and it goes through till Tuesday. The shifts are from 8 AM till 4:30 PM and my first official day will start on the 27th.
This company is something I have never experienced before. They're actually concerned about my well being and are even working on helping me with all the other bullshit that I've been dealing with involving the last job (which helps because this company I work for now is under the same umbrella as the last job so that's why they're willing to help me).

Again I couldn't be happier at this point in time and I'm really looking forward to starting my training.

 

On the job front, there's a Rebounderz (huge trampoline play arena, basically) opening nearby this year. When I can, I'll apply.

 

The narrator for my audio book of The Count of Monte Cristo just took on an Italian accent. He went from a English accent to Italian in the next chapter.

@GuyStripes I need a hammock myself. Got a cot-frame air matress bed in the meantime.

 

Will probably end up researching universities in other countries that offer free college. I could maybe afford a semester and a half right now if I attended the UW whitewater (not including what I might be awarded via FAFSA and scholarships I apply for).

 

Really wired from today and can't go to sleep.

 

Had a not very small accident today and cut myself with my newish knife. I recently replaced my airbrush equipment that I had lost several years ago during a move. I bought a pretty nice air compressor, which I didn't have before. But I had to buy the nozzles and parts to hook up to my airbrush separately. Anyway, today I was putting everything together. While trying to open the very hard plastic packaging that the nozzles and parts were in, my knife slipped and slashed my shin. I was sitting on the floor in shorts, with my left leg kind of under me. Sitting there thinking, I shouldn't be holding the knife this way, I should be really careful...then SLIP! It cut at an angle and went under the skin instead of going straight in and deep. It was still a little deep. I was feeling stupid and embarrassed by what I had done. Instead of announcing to my wife and mother in-law that I had just cut myself, I decided to quietly go to the bathroom to clean it up and bandage it. I then put on a jeans to hide the bandage. I did end up telling my wife what had happened, and of course when I finally let her see it hours later, she freaked out and told me I needed to get stitches and blah blah blah. She even wanted to do the stitches, but that's just her sadistic side. No, not getting stitches. Just keeping it covered and clean. I'll see how it looks tomorrow.
