my favorite were these things called "reindeer poop", basically a ball of chocolate and peanut butter fudge with oats and coconut and a bunch of other stuff mixed in that when rolled into balls and put on a plate looked scarily like reindeer shit lol

otherwise you can never go wrong with peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips added

The handmade treats was true in my day as well, way back in that magical time called "The 80's".

Actually, I can answer that in three parts: (1) Lauren Faust's art is amazing. I don't know where she learned how to make gradients work like that, but she puts more depth and illustrative skill into the simplest moments than most artists do in a lifetime. I have no idea why crap like Sofia The First keeps getting made when it's obvious that with a little care and craftsmanship you can make something exquisitely beautiful and know that kids will understand it.

    (2) Until season four, which disappoints me greatly, My Little Pony managed to be appealing by not being obvious. The show didn't tell you, it showed you. It assumed the average intelligence of an eight-year-old wasn't something to insult. As a result, without running into the subversive scripts of Animaniacs or the like, it's a show that has heart and soul without being sappy or stupid.

    (3) Episodes like Super Easy Cider Squeezy and the like showed that the writers were doing the work. They actually cared about both the music and the script. Again, this is all part of the "talking up, not down" to the audience.

Dinner tonight was home-made fish tacos with avocado & mango salsa. Which was amazing.

I didn't think people really cared about me this much XD

on another note, my extra large flared chance comes in tomorrow! pro: I got it in exactly a week instead of the usual 1 to 2 months! con: I'm out $260+ ._. I should have figured they would have gotten my toy done in time for the 2 weeks or free sale since the "forums getting nuked" probably caused a significant lag in new orders being made

EDIT: woops, major typo. extra large, not large. I'm still trying to get used to the whole 4 sizes thing

Wow, Coldplay's Ghost Stories album is just...depressing, goes way too deep into Chris Martin's pending divorce.

Back on the MLP topic...while I think the storylines, the characters, and the way it's presented are all brilliant and impressive...deff not something you see in a lot of TV shows anymore...I'd have to say that I disagree with the art entirely. It's just flash basically. I mean, even if they add more to it than most other forms of flash animation...it's still flash. It doesn't take that much skill, and that's what mostly bugs me about the show.

I guess that's mostly because I am a cartoonist/artist/illustrator, and I hate flash programs and CGI with a passion because 'it took our jobs'.
I have always been, and always will be, a fan of the movies and shows which show that a lot of work and talent were put into the visuals. Like the old Disney movies, and all the Don Bluth films. Those movies were true works of art, and it makes me so sad to see them die :c

Not a bad little system. Wouldn't work for what I need, but damn that price is nice.

What do you need it for?

As for me...the processor is at least twice as fast, the ram is another gig or so better, and about five times the memory. It comes with a video card as well, which, while isn't a powerhouse of cards, is a bit stronger than the one I'm using. This is the cheapest I've ever seen something like this, and I am NOT passing it up. It's all a strong upgrade at a reasonable price to cover me for the next decade (until I can spare the cash to upgrade/update proper).

Roleplaying with a friend from the old forums! I wish I could get my fursona clearly defined and even drawn, it would feel much less dirty than borrowing other characters just to get through one little session....
