on another note I'm sick of the social and political response to the shooting in Orlando, taking a few styles of guns off the street won't stop extremist beliefs and violence, anyone even referring to the fact the attack was linked to a religious ideology that fundamentally gives no excuse for gay people to be tolerated and demands they be killed are shouted down and called racists to discredit them by many of the people who claim to be allies of the LGBT movement, and anyone who's LGBT+-etc. who doesn't agree with the main opinion and ideals put forward by the loudest public voices in the group are treated like they're traitors. Being gay means you feel attraction to the same sex, it doesn't mean you immediately have to be a quiet victim with a universal set of views, and it certainly does not mean you need to blanketly accept everyone that subscribes to an ideology that the majority of adherents around the world think your very existence is an abomination.

 

Why is this so good? Calming and beautiful and haunting and peaceful and I feel like I could just die in peace.

To be blunt I'm just tired of everyone wanting to have a shouting match over who is "right" about why it happened, but can't be assed to do anything about it. And yes, you can do something about the aftermath of a mass shooting without being a paramedic or something, you can be civil, decent human beings, you can lend your support to the people actually affected even if it's just being there for them. And you can show that you aren't intimidated by crazed idiots with guns.

All this chaotic back and forth biting, like a bunch of feral animals on the internet? This is exactly what they want. ISIS, Al Queda, North Korea, a random loon, I don't fucking care who anymore.

Anyway, i had a Blue Oyster Cult shirt custom printed and its fucking great

 

my everything hurts, but at least I get to train on how to operate some of the heavier equipment tomorrow since the guys they were planning to train are idiots and keep showing up hungover, also had to have a 15 minute long meeting today to make sure everyone understands how important it is to drink water when working outside since someone passed out and had pretty bad heat stroke yesterday. I almost couldn't keep from laughing at how much the whole meeting seemed like a deleted scene from idiocracy
"wait... you want us to drink water? but I prefer soda, yeah, water tastes like shit, can't be good for you"

 

Whenever I hear people say something like that, I'm like, "Good, go ahead and drink all the soda, that way you'll end up with no teeth, all types of diabetes and die at an early age. Good on ya!"

 

I'll stick to tea and coffee for my casual beverages, and when it's hot my home blended mixes of salt+citrus juice (which I take one sip of the mix to about two large gulps of water, or something)

 

it's even better when they come in massively hungover and dehydrated almost every day to work in the sun and they ignore every bit of advice that could make them feel even slightly better

 

Man, Orlando is having a very difficult time. First Christina Grimmie gets gunned down this past Saturday, then the Pulse Nightclub massacre happened the next day, now there's the 2 year old who got dragged away by an alligator.
Unbelievable.

She was the most recent winner of "The Voice" and was having a signing after one of her concerts and some dude came up and shot her.
