I just got How to Train Your Dragon 2 and the sweet fabric banner for basically free, thanks Best Buy and your totally random $5 gift in my email! XD

 

Well, I thought my weekend was going bad enough without my mental funk getting in the way, but after dealing with several other frustrating hurdles I get a call on Sunday that a good friend killed himself. And after receiving the news I dropped my phone and shattered the screen.

About the only good thing to happen was that I finally sold my bike (albeit at a lower price than I hoped).

Guess things can only go up from here, right?

It's times like these that really get me down because I know I'd cope so much better if I had someone close that I could confide in. I love my internet friends to death and they've been great to me through all this but there's something about having a warm shoulder to lean on or a lap to curl up in that helps you forget.

 

Trust me, I feel you.
I love my internet friends too, but nothing is more frustrating because sometimes you just wish so hard that they could fly over to be with you, especially during a hard time like this, when you feel especially alone :C

 

Yeah, I seem to have a knack for making friends that are so far away, yet struggle to meet people in my own state!

 

All my friends are internet friends.

And my drawing tablet arrived. I've just finished setting it up and getting the basic hang of it. Let the crap art flood begin! xD (Okay, jk. But I'm beginner in the world of digital drawing, so any tips, tricks, favourite tutorials, constructive critic, anything would be really appreciated. Also I'm gonna set up my own thread later.)

 

basically just practice a lot. if you've ever tried semi-blind contour drawing with pencil and paper it's similar to the spatial disconnect you may experience at first of drawing on the tablet but watching the screen to see how it turns out

 

I'm less in the mood to post these days... Meh. Off to sleep now. Bye guys!
