So I have a stupid way to fix my stupid internal alarm clock. I found an app which lets me set a range for when a timer can go off. Basically what I do is set the timer to 5 am and then set it so it will go off between 30 and 1 minute(s) prior (4:30 - 4:59), it's 100% random. The reason I do this is because I know that I can fall back to sleep with 1 hour left but I can't with only 15 minutes. I've only used it twice but it seems to be good so far. The reason I need the alarm to be random is because my body was used to the 6 am alarm and always woke up 20-15 minutes earlier. So by having it random my body will have no idea when it's going go off. And I need it to be at least an hour earlier because my body doesn't give a flying fuck about waking up that early.

If it's stupid and works, it ain't stupid. It is however lazy or creative as appropriate.

As I'm typing this I realized a horrendously bad way this can fail. Both of my alarms make the same annoying sound. If my first alarm doesn't go off and I do sleep till 6. I may just climb back in bed... I do doubt that happening though because of how visible my normal clock is and that I have to unlock my phone to turn the first alarm off, which is great fun at 4:40 in the morning.

If you can guess why I used 4:40 as the example I will personally give you an all expenses paid heap of nothing.

Lol. Its been 95 degrees (35 Celsius) here for the days running.

 

I'm not too far away in Winnipeg! The winter was looking sooooooo promising, but then it got all -40 for a week and isn't supposed to get warmer for a while

Never seen one of those before; that's kinda awesome-looking. It occurs to me though that I have a set of their beige/black Steampunk dice! I don't tabletop RPG at present, but I do use them for my Fantasy Genesis Workshop drawing sessions. Decided I wanted a special set for it and never had any D&D dice before. Some gorgeous detailing on them.
