It's a love/hate thing with my parents. The rest of my family is retarded or crazy and I don't deal with them at all. As long as I'm living on my own I can tolerate my parents however when I'm living with them..... I would rather be dead.

 

my parents don't care what I do as long as I don't get arrested, burn the house down, or need to go to the hospital. for every other situation than that they avoid me and I avoid them

The kid and I watched Mission Impossible, the 1996 movie with Tom Cruise. It's hard to believe that, at the time, Emilio Estevez was such a famous actor, and Tom Cruise this fresh up-and-comer, that Estevez asked to have his name taken off the credits for Tom's benefit. (Also, he didn't want people to come see the movie for him, only to learn that he dies during the second caper.)

That's terrible and I hope it's a scam...not that I approve of that shit...but at least it's better than someone's free will being taken from them. I often wonder why all the hate for religion these days but then I see this kind of crap and it's a wake up call.

I suppose I'm luckier than most in some cases but I lost on others. You give and you take I suppose. I don't maintain much contact with any of my family or people much at all, except for a few really close to me. I'm my own person and do my own thing. I feel for those of you who have to deal with bullshit parents that feel like they need to dictate your every move.

 

Now I'm really glad my parents are not that controlling and suffocating.

There's nothing disgusting, save for maybe two mummified toes and two wounds that look badly... I expected something more But on other side, I saw a lot of disgusting things in the Internet, so I might have some resistance to those things now.

 

Went to the physio this afternoon for a sore calf that flared up for no reason a few days back. Within 10 minutes he's packing me off to the doctor because he thinks I may have a DVT (deep vein thrombosis). GP doesn't think I have one, but is sending me off for a scan tomorrow to be sure. So far I'm down $100 and don't have an answer to what's causing the problem yet!
