What Is On Your Mind?

Oddly, I always looked at my own birthdays as "Birthday. Just another day in the year.". Now for some reason, instead of looking at it like "Birthday, a celebration of another year of survival.", I've been looking at it as "Birthday, a reminder that I've one year less to live, one year less to get things done, another year I've wasted too much off.". For everyone else's birthdays, I've always been happy for them.

I'm usually an optimist on most things unrelated to sociology (where I tend to be pessimistic), for some reason I just wish the concept of birthdays was never invented, or at least that I didn't have them. Don't need a celebration about the fact that I exist....

Lemme be honest. Birthday or Christmas I'll be like "I'm here just for the money and the gifts", I just tell my family out right. I cannot stand lying and pretending.
If I were you I'd tell everyone that you prefer it like a normal day in your life *shrugs* Maybe that's just me.

 

Yeah if I do extra then they can pile more on me next time for me to do.

 

In my family, birthdays are typically not very big affairs unless it's for the children. Like, on my birthday I might get a pair of socks because holy cow do I wear out socks quickly, but there's no party and no obligation to do so.

About the only exception is grandma, she'll throw an absolute fit If she's not given anything or there's no party planned for her.

Other holidays like christmas are similar, only the children really get gifts, for the adults the holiday is more of a "let's all converse for the day and eat dinner since we hardly see each other" kind of thing.

 

If you don't want your presents, I'll take them. I dream of getting a birthday present one day.

(kidding, but yeah, once you start taking life seriously, that's pretty much all a birthday is, until you get old enough to brag about it)

 

When is your birthday? Maybe someone here will send you something. Maybe a pasta collar, maybe a Lamborghini or maybe a wasp nest.

 

Been bumming the last few days. Maybe because of finals next week. Eh that too I guess xD

 

Spent half the afternoon cleaning out for a toy session which lasted a few measly minutes. Damn Nox for being too good to me. Guess I'll just do laundry until dinner....

 

Got some antibiotics, and I am not to have any alcohol while on it, not even mouthwash. The phrases used by my doctor and pharmacist were "deathly ill" and "violently ill". My friend's wedding is tomorrow. There's going to be an open bar, I can feel it. :|

 

Everybody ..... male or female says that Nox is great. Wonder if it's the dick I've been looking for.
