Somehow they appointed the lawyer to be the trustee. So he's current holding ~$47,000 from the account and ~$47,000 from the sale of the house. And we don't know why. We have no idea, at all.

Guh, was prompted to check something Over Yonder, and I am so sick of the same three assholes bringing up the same issue every news thread and acting like their stupid opinion is the most valid opinion.

 

Normally when a death occurs you just apply the account remaining to pay the bills. Somewhere my aunt agreed to put the bills for the house (for the last 8 months) AND the income taxes in the hands of the lawyer. Normally the bank would just give the trustee the cheques when the house closed. Instead we put it in the hands of the lawyer who is a) holding part of the money from the sale and b) gave out the cheques for the sale. According to an aunt who works in a law office that should NEVER happen. The lawyer should not under any circumstances be holding all that money for this client for any reason. Ideally the bank would have given the trustee the cheques and she would have divided it among the beneficiaries like my grandparents intended. My suspicion for the reason he's still sitting on $47,000 from the house is he hasn't figured out how much he's going to charge for 8 months of paying the house bills for us from the account and starting the income taxes. I'm suspecting something greater than $10,000, maybe even $14,000 for his services + the fees for the handling of the sale (4% + another fee)

I got to see my new x-rays..............It's not two screws, but 7 in my ankle!
The doc was happy with the speed at which it is healing, so I got all 30 staples removed, and a brand new blue hard cast.
Thankfully I don't have to keep it elevated at all times any more, and the cast weighs half as much as the old one. Yea!!!
Another two weeks to see the doc again.

 

So.... BD sells tape measures now?

 

Uh... apparently so. Did I miss the part where all the hardware and fabric shops in the world disappeared overnight?

Like, fabric for sewing projects and stuff. Basically a craft store but just for sewing and upholstery and tailoring and stuff.

I think it's just a little thing to tack onto your order that's somewhat handy to have for things like measuring Dildos, and save a trip to a craft/fabric store. If it cost any more than it did it would be stupid, but 5 bucks isn't ridiculous.

 

Well one thing about that BD tape measure.......... you certainly can't use it in a competition of who's tape measure can stick out the farthest. My construction tape measure can go over 9 feet before it snaps, and it's a little worn out.
