I am convinced that stomach bugs are worse than broken toes in every way. I would absolutely go through life with a permanently broken toe if I never had to experience a stomach bug again.

spent some time fixing my adopted shovel with my new welder. got it looking good as new except a little charring on the handle right under where the break was in the socket. I might paint it blue since I have some nice blue paint I like left over from a sculpture project. I love that welder

 

I bought a Boston pencil sharpener from Value Village for $4. I couldn't imagine anything being wrong with it so I bought it. Bring it home for some sharpening action and it's seized but I hear AC hum in the motor...apart it came for cleaning and greasing. Try again...it spins but isn't working as well as these should...apart again and I missed a screw holding the sharpening bit so off it came for the same treatment and after I was done the whole mechanism felt great!

I throw it back together and...still takes forever. Oh well at least it was only $4. Nothing looks super off so I'm stumped, the "blade" even feels sharp still. This is bothering me more than my ex gf right now.

 

why I always use manual hand crank sharpeners

also it seems my brother and his boyfriend made a surprise visit. so much for toying this weekend. now I get to endure every conversation for the next few days only being focused on him.

 

I'm so exhausted...

 

Today really sucked. We were massively understaffed at work and everyone was fucking awful.

 

one of the neighbor's illegal bottle rockets just went into our backyard and broke something. I am not amused -_-

 

From now on I'm never going to try to exude any sense of authority on anything whatsoever. I don't know anything and that's just how it is.

Now to sit down and watch Kingsman: The Secret Service.

 

I'm never going to stop talking about how great this house is. For the first time in my life, I think I have a home. If I'm not careful I just might fuck around and shed a tear.
