today was interesting to say the least. I got pulled off my usual crew and traded to another for the day since the guy they traded me out for has a fuck ton of experience doing concrete and paver work. got traded onto a 2 man crew with a guy that knows all of about 20 words in english, and with me remembering how to properly use all of about 20 words in spanish it was a very strange day with a lot of playing charades. almost forgot, he randomly asked me if I was gay and when I asked why he shrugged and said "most white people gay. so you gay?" ummm... what?

also got my knife making stuff

I got nailed by a car today, surprised I'm not dead not that I would've cared with how I've been feeling lately. Still, time to file a claim and get some money. I still don't know how I got up and walked away, thankfully I got the plate number.

Woah, nailed on foot? Make sure you're completely fine. Some injuries have a way of not being apparent at first. When I crashed my bike and fell on my shoulder, I felt fine, but couldn't move my arm the next day (and for about a week after.)

 

went and got thai food for dinner from my favorite thai place. the waiter with a crush on me is still there. he's WAY older than he looks though

 

hmmm, seems the knife blank I got was completely hardened instead of just the blade. seems I won't just be able to drill the holes larger and use the 1/4" brass I already bought and now have to order the 5/32" that is still out of stock... oh well, amazon exists for a reason. now I just have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks

 

just learned something horrifying, sometimes chickens will lay things called "lashes" instead of eggs. basically a big lumpy egg like thing made of tissue, pus, egg parts, and other stuff. ew...
